River of light

August 17th 2010 00:26
This week there are magic glowing spheres to be seen in the Bow River at Prince's Island.

From what I heard this a.m. on the radio, the spheres will be spreading along the Bow all week.

They have daylight spheres, data spheres, and night spheres, including what sounds like an amazing event to come on the evening of the 21st.

March 16th 2010 22:43

Cars and shopping centres in Calgary

December 23rd 2009 01:42

Recycling in Calgary

October 20th 2009 19:40
Even visitors to Calgary can recycle their garbage.

The city has recycling bins in many of the major shopping centre parking lots and elsewhere. If your hotel hasn't put a blue bin in the room, ask for one. Calgary now has residential curbside recycling city-wide, and a big plant for processing recyclables. No excuses!

Calgary Tower Has a Glass Floor

August 25th 2009 21:13
The Calgary Tower is a little bit overshadowed by skyscrapers these days, but the revolving restaurant up there still offers a panoramic view of the city and the Rocky Mountains to the west.

This picture of the Bow River gives a clue about how much snow we've had this winter in Calgary.

Calgary Zombies in October

January 11th 2009 03:38
The Calgary Zombie Walk in October started as a kind of low-key thing the zombies seemed to know about due to their special zombie telepathy.
